Encourage Yourself

Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations in which it seems as if no one else understands, or no one has the time to be a listening ear, due to their own problems and circumstances. Those are the times when God is really trying to get our attention. Why? Because there is no one... or no thing that can be our source of strength but God. When we are isolated, God gets the opportunity to show us Who HE is! It is in those moments that we see how powerful our faith can be and where we need to invest our faith and our trust. In I Samuel 30, David finds himself in a situation in which the same men who he has won numerous battles with, now turn against him. He has lost everything, including his family. But the word says that, "David encouraged himself in The Lord." Sometimes, we must do likewise. Our usual devotions don't do the trick, neither does talking to a prayer partner, or listening to a sermon. The only thing that works is us spending alone time with God and pulling out our faith file and remembering what He has already done for us. No one else knows that file but you and God. So, when you find yourself in that isolated situation, remind yourself hat God has never failed you, and the same God who got you through your last trial, will get you through this one. Speak life over yourself, speak victory over yourself, and encourage yourself in The Lord. We love you. Be Blessed!
