When Momma was dying from Ovarian Cancer, she went through a period in which she was not allowed to have any food given by mouth. She could only eat ice chips. The rest of her nourishment was delivered via an iv. I would come to visit her every morning on my way to work, which was a 2 block walk (I honesty believe that I had that particular job so that I could be close to her). I would read Psalm 91 to her for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. When I would sit at the foot of her bed, she would get up, sit next to me, and lean her head on my shoulder while I read to her and prayed with her. Those devotional sessions gave her the strength to fight for as long as she could, and it also created the framework for the devotional practices that my wife of 35 years and I have, and still practice to this day. Psalm 91: 7-8 says, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked." As we continue to hear about "wars and rumors of wars...", we need to lean on the strength of God's word, as well as reading over our own faith file. God has already demonstrated that He is more than capable of handling whatever our issues and concerns are, but we have to give Him a chance. We have to allow God to be God...in our lives. If we "let go, and let God", I firmly believe that He will show up in a mighty way! Let me restate that: If we let go and let God, I believe that God will show up...and show out! Who's with me? Who is willing to let "Jesus take the wheel" and lead us out of the chaos and confusion that we are experiencing right now? I for one, can't wait to see what God is going to do! #BeBlessed #WalkByFaith
